Hello, PHC students (and soon-to-be students)! Here's a chance to get to know your RA and also get a sneak peek of what they might have planned for the coming semester. For those who don't know, Resident Assistants provide care, guidance, advice, and spiritual leadership in their dorms, acting as the touchpoint between students and the administration. Their responsibilities include leading Wing Chapel twice a week and planning events for their wings.
Now, without further ado, here's what the girls shared with us!
Kaitlyn Kiepert
Fun fact: I hiked a volcano last summer—and walked around inside it!
Being an RA: I am so excited to continue pouring into a community that has blessed me deeply over the past two years. I can't wait to foster dorm community through Song & Psalm, study parties, snack-baking, worship nights, and more.
Wing Chapel: My heart for Wing Chapel is to create a time of rest and fellowship for the girls in my wing. The Lord put spiritual growth and the Christian walk on my heart, so these are likely the topics that we'll start the fall semester discussing. I also plan to focus on incorporating various forms of worship into wing chapels, whether through reading Christian poetry, singing hymns, reading from Psalms and Proverbs, or possibly even writing poetry or song lyrics with my wing.
Wing theme: My wing theme can probably best be described as "vintage library"—think soft warm colors, a comfy living room atmosphere, tea, and an ever-growing collection of favorite books!
Allie Satterfield
Fun fact: I moved nine times growing up.
Being an RA: I am most looking forward to getting to know the women in my wing and having the opportunity to love them over the next year!
Wing Chapel: My vision for Wing Chapel is to have a bifurcated structure where the first day is focused on Spiritual discussion, and the second day is focused on prayer and community building. I want to take intentional time as a wing to encourage one another, not with things we like about each other per se, but with how we see God working in one another. I want people to understand the particular gifts God has given them and how He will use them to build up His Church.
Wing Theme: The wing theme will hopefully be centered around an eclectic and whimsical mix of pearls and ties.
Josephine Wyrick
Fun fact: I did Irish step dancing when I was little!
Being an RA: I’m looking forward to helping build community on campus! I’m also excited to get to know the girls in my wing better!
Wing Chapel: I’m hoping to study a New Testament book this year, maybe Acts. I’d love for Wing Chapel to include a lot of fruitful group discussion.
Wing theme: My idea right now is Garden Party! I want this year to feel like a celebration!
Anna Smith
Fun fact: Once, while I was in Jordan, I rode in a camel caravan through the desert!
Being an RA: I am most looking forward to the Christ-centered community we will build this year. This community is one of the most precious parts of PHC to me, and so much of that stems from the sweet relationships fostered in the wing.
Wing Chapel: I would love for us to study a book of the Bible together. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” If God’s Word can equip us for every good work, let’s study it as often as we can!
Wing theme: I am from the Annapolis area, which is a Navy town known for sailing, so my wing will be sailing themed.
Anika Bebb
Fun fact: I love chocolate
Being an RA: I am looking forward to having freshmen in my wing this year and getting to be a part of their initial PHC experience!
Wing Chapel: I plan to read through a book of the Bible and talk through it with my girls. I also plan to have some wing chapels that are more rest and fellowship-oriented so that we can connect as a wing and build community under our King, Jesus.
Wing Theme: I will likely stick with a beach theme of some sort unless I think of a better idea before the fall.
Rebecca Rose
Fun fact: I rallied at the Supreme Court on the day that Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Being an RA: I am most looking forward to getting to serve the women in my wing and on campus. I am also excited to practice hospitality in my room and in the dorm. Shiloh is such a blessing, not just to the girls that live there, but to the whole school community.
Wing Chapel: My vision is to be a respite during the week where the women in my wing can gather together, slow down, and meditate on God’s Word. My hope is that they will realize more fully the love that God has for them and grow in unity with one another throughout the year.
Wing theme: My wing theme is yet to be determined, but sunflowers, memes, and colorful Post-it notes will likely be involved.
Gabrielle Page
Fun fact: I love acting and singing, so performing and watching musical theater is one of my favorite things to do! (And I love PHC’s acting club, Eden Troupe, so I WILL be encouraging everyone in my wing to audition heh heh).
Being an RA: I’m most looking forward to getting to know each of the girls in my wing individually. I love deep conversations and learning what makes people super excited, laugh hysterically, or even feel a little sad. I’m hoping that through wing events, wing chapels, and random late-night study sessions in the hallway, I can be there for my wing-sisters in Christ.
Wing Chapel: Since high school, I’ve been thinking long and hard about the nature of prayer and its vital nature to my walk with Christ. The summer after my freshman year, I read A Praying Life by Paul E. Miller, which was so helpful in understanding the doctrine of prayer. I’m thinking of centering my wing chapels on prayer, where we go through lament prayers in Psalms and the Old Testament, as well as Paul’s and Jesus’s teachings on prayer in the New Testament. I may also read from A Praying Life in some of the wing chapels. I want to have several moments (at least monthly) where we break into smaller groups and pray with one another. That’s what I’m thinking for now, but I’m not 100% set on it.
Wing theme: I haven’t decided for sure yet. I know Hollywood can be sketch, but I love film and theater, so I’m thinking of doing a classic Hollywood vibe. Think old movie posters (from like the 50s or 60s), roses, bulb lights, quotes, and other film-themed paraphernalia. The other idea I’m thinking of (courtesy of my dad) is something to do with ice cream or gelato, where each door is decorated with ice cream flavors to represent the people inside. So maybe something overall like an Italian gelato shop with those flavors for each person. We’ll see what idea wins in the end!
Victoria Fink
Fun fact: I love competitive swimming.
Being an RA: I am so excited to meet and build relationships with all the girls in my wing and can't wait to see what adventures God has for us as a wing. My prayer is that our wing is a place of joy and rest.
Wing Chapel: My vision for Wing Chapel is a time where we girls get to encourage one another and draw closer to Christ together. My plan is to study prayer, looking at different prayers in the Bible, understanding how we should pray, and the importance of a prayerful life.
Wing theme: I don't officially have the theme nailed down, but my vision is a beautiful wood with lots of plants and flowers. I hope that the wing can be a place of rest and many fun memories in the midst of the busy semesters.
Liana DeVore
Fun fact: I love stargazing. I saw my first shooting star this summer while visiting Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon.
Being an RA: I am most looking forward to learning more about Christ and being together with the girls in my wing and the RA team. I am so excited to see what each person is passionate about and to explore their interests alongside them.
Wing Chapel: We will be studying the Sermon on the Mount. This is a passage of Scripture that has meant a lot to me since freshman year, and I pray others will be able to see the depth and beauty of this simple, powerful message!
Wing theme: "Sparrows and Lilies" referring to the passages in Matthew 6 and Luke 12.
Becca Doty
Fun fact: I was formerly a competitive power-lifter.
Being an RA: I'm most looking forward to grocery runs and movie nights! I love getting to do normal college life with my girl group.
Wing Chapel: My goal is to be very conversational and in-text on what Jesus has laid out for us.
Wing theme: Camp Walden from The Parent Trap!
Kennedy King
Fun fact: I try to have a high capacity approach to life, and tend to join as many clubs, activities, and events as possible. While always being down for a side quest is fun, it can sometimes make my schedule a little hectic. Definitely hit me up if you need someone to talk you into (and occasionally out of) something!
Being an RA: I'm really excited to help cultivate Mount Vernon dorm culture as Head RA this year. I've had some stunning head RA examples these last few years- so I'm really excited to seek out their counsel in best strategies for approaching both the role and dorm culture.
Wing Chapel: I really enjoy having intimate time with the girls to get to know each other and our walks with the Lord. Wing Chapel offers the opportunity for students to enjoy fellowship without the pressure of school, extracurriculars, or life. That experience is invaluable at PHC.
Wing theme: I'm playing with my theme from last year, and trying to make some small yet crucial changes that really encapsulate how I want my wing to be known on campus while still clinging to a cohesive aesthetic. I haven't nailed down every last detail, but it'll definitely be reflective and personal.
Abigail Spivey
Fun fact: I love hiking and have hiked lots with my family. I have also hiked up a dormant volcano.
Being an RA: I am so excited to foster a wing of fellowship and community among my girls! My door will always be open whether for tea, study, or anyone who just wants to talk. I can't wait for all the late-night conversations, study parties, and fun times together!
Wing Chapel: There are so many different ways to approach wing chapel, but fundamentally I want it to be a time where my girls can rest, grow closer to the Lord, and encourage one another. I envision spending one day in study and the other day in prayer together. My prayer is that it will be a safe place for them to share and build each other up.
Wing theme: I want to combine the idea of mountains and cathedrals! I love the imagery of mountains, clouds, and forests as natural cathedrals that point us to God through their beauty. I want my wing to be beautiful in a similar way, reminding us to rest in God.

Patrick Henry College exists to glorify God by challenging the status quo in higher education, lifting high both faith and reason within a rigorous academic environment; thereby preserving for posterity the ideals behind the "noble experiment in ordered liberty" that is the foundation of America.
