On Mission: Living a life of service

Is your “yes” still on the table? Do you lay your all before Jesus every day? In this issue of Founders Magazine, we explored what it means to live life radically transformed by the power of God—what it means to live life “on mission” in the big and important and in the small and mundane.

Read about the life of iridescent love that PHC graduate Jennifer Schlaudt lived to the glory of God, the work of baseball executive Kevin Malone who helps to fight human trafficking, and the stories of students and alumni who seek to live worshipful lives of service.

“We ourselves are saved to serve, and are made to give.” Lillias Trotter

The Constitution: Relic of the Past?

How often do we come across a collection of contemporary articles all in one publication that is written by individuals who are extremely knowledgeable in U.S. History and the U.S. Constitution, who can clearly articulate the challenges facing the nation and the church in this unique cultural moment, and who can be trusted to do so in a way that is faithful to Scripture?

At PHC, we don’t have to go far to find this kind of author. Read features from Michael P. Farris, President Jack W. Haye, Logan Spena, Dr. Mark T. Mitchell, Senator Grassley, and Dr. Jesse Merriam.

Identity (in) Crisis

We live in a world characterized by fear, chaos, and confusion. As a result, our conversations and news feeds are filled with stories that underscore the impact of anxiety and fractured relationships on our homes, churches, and communities.

These stress points are amplified through the megaphones of political and cultural power. In the midst of it all, we can be tempted to believe that somehow we have been left alone. The reality, however, is that Jesus has promised to never leave us—no matter how difficult the times.

These are the stories that you will find in this issue of Founders Magazine as we explore critical issues such as meaning and purpose, ethnicity and sexuality, all through the lens of people on the front lines who are living out the Gospel of Christ with bold humility—no matter the cost.

– Jack W. Haye, President, Patrick Henry College
