New Guard Press (NGP) recognized PHC student Josh Revoir (Junior) as Contributor of the Year. He is the first recipient of the award, which will go to “the young writer who best articulates a path forward for the Conservative movement, and does so with beauty, charm, and intellect."

JoshuaRevoirJosh is majoring in Government (Political Theory) and had previously interned at American Principles Project. He  contributed several pieces to New Guard Press, an outlet for young conservative intellectuals "dedicated to advancing a thoughtful, hopeful vision of conservatism—one that illuminates a path forward for American culture."

When Bradley Haley, the founder of NGP, reached out over the summer regarding Josh's availability for one evening, he never expected any award. "I was fully prepared to attend a typical DC-summer-intern-soiree at the Heritage Foundation," says Josh. He was in for a surprise when NGP named him their first-ever Contributor of the Year. "Being there with quite a few PHC students made the experience even more impactful," said Josh. "The evening itself was delightful, with a wonderful talk from Dr. Chad Pecknold on the pursuit of happiness."

10 Students and their Career-Shaping Internships

Josh credits PHC for his writing success. He commends New Guard Press to fellow PHC students and young conservatives.

“My studies at Patrick Henry College made this award possible. Over the past year, my pieces have often been the outpouring of thoughts I've fostered throughout my classes and conversations with faculty and students. God has truly blessed PHC as a hotbed for young intellectual thought, serving as a place where we can gather to think through dense ideas. The majority of my writing focuses on the rise of theology,  traditional conservatism, and the rise of digital technology. New Guard Press has been an incredible outlet for my thoughts."Political Theory-3

Patrick Henry College exists to glorify God by challenging the status quo in higher education, lifting high both faith and reason within a rigorous academic environment; thereby preserving for posterity the ideals behind the "noble experiment in ordered liberty" that is the foundation of America.
