What options are there after Russia uses weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine?  Dr. Eric Patterson spoke to Strategic Intelligence students at Patrick Henry College about how just war thinking can inform analysis on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In this Patrick Henry College symposium, in conjunction with Providence Magazine and the Institute on Religion and Democracy, intelligence scholars explore and analyze a Christian understanding of Just War Thinking and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

  3. Guest speaker: Dr. Patterson is executive vice president of the Religious Freedom Institute in Washington, D.C., and past dean of the School of Government at Regent University. His expertise, informed by time at the U.S. Department of State and in the military, is on the intersection of war, conflict, and the ethics of security. He is the author or editor of 15 books, including Just American Wars, Politics in a Religious World, and Ending Wars Well.
