Abraham Lincoln Scholarship	Awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding commitment to principled leadership as evidenced by application materials. Consideration for this award is an SAT score of 1250-1340 or ACT score of 27-29. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	$2,500	Demonstrated leadership and cumulative 3.0 GPA
William A. Wilberforce Scholarship	Awarded to students who have demonstrated the ability to remain true to their convictions and to inspire others to live courageously as evidenced by application materials. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	$2,500	Demonstrated leadership and cumulative 2.5 GPA
J.S. Bach Musical Scholarship	Awarded to student who have demonstrated outstanding musical preparation and potential to become musical leaders in one of the College's many musical organizations as evidenced by application materials and an audition. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	Up to $2,500	Recommendation from the Director of Music, participation and leadership in PHC music programs, and cumulative 2.5GPA
Epaphras Church Leadership Scholarship	Awarded to students who have shown committed involvement in the service and leadership of their local church as evidenced by application materials. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	$2,000	Demonstrated leadership and cumulative 2.5 GPA
Public Service Scholarship	Awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding commitment to community service as evidenced by application materials. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	$2,000	Demonstrated leadership and cumulative 2.5 GPA
AWANA Scholarship	Awarded to student with vrification of Citation Award from AWANA. 10 Scholarships Available	4 years	$500	Continued leadership and cumulative GPA of 2.5
SCHOLASTIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Patrick Henry Scholarship	The College’s most prestigious scholarship for meritorious students who have demonstrated excellent preparation for the academic rigor of PHC studies. Awarded on the basis of a combination of the quality of the admissions application materials which includes: Standardized Test Scores - threshold for consideration SAT* 1340 or ACT 30 Strength of Writing – Faith & Purpose Essays and Writing Sample Strength of High School Curriculum & Grades – College Work if applicable Reading List – Breadth and Depth References – Pastoral and Academic Extracurricular Activities and/or Employment No maximum, awarded to all qualifying students.	4 years	$1,000 to $10,000	GPA of 3.0 to 3.5 as shown in the award letter.
Leonidas Classical Language Scholarship	Awarded to a meritorious student who has demonstrated excellence in preparation for the study of Latin and/or Greek and who intends to further that study through applicable courses at PHC. 5 Scholarships Available	4 years	$1,000	Cumulative 3.0 GPA
FACULTY-AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS BY MAJOR
Noah Webster CLA Scholarship	Awarded to a meritorious student intending to major in Classical Liberal Arts who has an aptitude and desire to influence the youth of our society for Christ by teaching in a home school, classical Christian school, or in other venues, or writing curricula. Preference will be given to those who have been using their teaching gifts in church, home schooling, or tutoring. 1 Scholarship Available	4 years	$2,500	Continuing in Classical Liberal Arts major and cumulative GPA of 3.2
Publius Government Scholarship	Awarded to meritorious students intending to major in Government. Preference will be given to those who have a demonstrated commitment to the field. Examples of commitment include, but are not limited to: volunteering on campaigns, extensive writing and research on government, or other related experience. 3 Scholarships Available	4 years	$2,500	Continuing in a Government major and Cumulative 3.2 GPA
Herodotus History Scholarship	Awarded to a meritorious student intending to major in History. Students desiring to be considered for this award must, as part of their application for admission, submit an education sample of an essay or research paper on a historical topic or person. 1 Scholarship Available	4 years	$2,500	Continuing in History major and Cumulative 3.2 GPA
Nathaniel Willis Journalism Scholarship	Awarded to a meritorious student intending to major in Journalism. Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated interest and past experience in journalism whose application materials, including essays and writing samples, show significant potential. 1 Scholarship Available	4 years	$2,500	Continuing in a Journalism major and Cumulative 3.2
C.S. Lewis Literature Scholarship	Awarded to a meritorious student intending to major in Literature. Students desiring to be considered for this award must, as part of their application for admission, submit an education sample of an essay or research paper on a literary topic. 1 scholarship Available	4 years	$2,500	Cumulative 3.2 GPA
The Samuel Adams Scholarship for Journalism	Awarded to a meritorious students intending to major in Journalism who have demonstrated exceptional potential and outstanding preparation for a career as a journalist. Requirements to be considered for the scholarship: SAT score of at least 1250 or an ACT score of 28 (SAT scores represent a combination of an applicant’s Critical Reading and Math scores.) A short essay describing your interest in journalism and how PHC’s journalism program would help you achieve your career goals. Two letters of recommendation from an employer, supervisor, or mentor addressing your potential as a journalist. A résumé focusing on journalistic experience and journalism-related skills. A feature story or news story of at least 1,000 words (may be published or unpublished) Clips of published articles (optional item) Samples of news-related multimedia work, such as videos, podcasts, photos, or web pages submitted on CD or DVD (optional item) 3 Scholarship Available	4 years	$10,000 (1) $5,000 (2)	Continuing in Journalism major and Cumulative 3.0 GPA
FORENSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Samuel Adams Debate Scholarship	Superior achievement in a national-level debate tournament such as NCFCA National Championship Tournament in the categories of Lincoln Douglas or Team Policy Debate. 3 Scholarships Available	4 years	Up to $8,000	Leadership and participation in PHC debate and cumulative GPA of 3.2
James Madison Debate Scholarship	Significant achievement in a national-level debate tournament such as NCFCA National Championship Tournament in the categories of Lincoln Douglas or Team Policy Debate. 3 Scholarships Available	4 years	Up to $5,000	Participation and good standing with the PHC debate team and cumulative GPA of 3.0
John Jay Debate Scholarship	Participant in NCFCA National Championship Tournament. No maximum, awarded to all qualifying students.	1 year	$500	Non-renewable
NEED SCHOLARSHIPS

Servants' Scholarship	Student with demonstrated need as evidenced by the PROFILE report whose parent or guardian is employed in full-time Christian ministry. Esther Scholarship	Student with demonstrated need as evidenced by the PROFILE report who is an orphan or the dependent of a single parent who is a widow or widower.
