This course introduces you to the theory and practice of using statistical data to analyze economic and business applications. It builds on topics covered in introductory statistics such as probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and regression, extending these concepts to mulitvariate methods of analysis of data. Topics covered include cross-sectional, panel, and time-series analysis. You will be exposed to statistical analysis software, including but not limited to Excel and Stata.

Note that the paper should conform to the guidelines provided, should be written with clarity, and evidence the use of the appropriate statistical tools. Statistical results hould be presented in clearly labeled and properly formatted tables and graphs and results should be described verbally in the text.
