Dr. Travis Wright has a passion for the Word of God. Prior to Patrick Henry, he taught biblical languages and linguistic theory at the University of Cambridge, where he also studied Modern Hebrew, and from 2023-24 he was a Junior Research Fellow in Analytic Theology at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. During his time in the UK, Dr. Wright was closely involved in student ministry and preached widely in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England and Wales. A specialist in biblical exegesis, his research focuses on the interaction of language and logic in the Bible.
Dr. Wright is a poet. His poems have appeared in journals and anthologies in the US and UK, including recently Cambridge Elemental Poetry, The Windhover, The Bangalore Review, and Dappled Things. He is the author of two books of poetry, A Woodland Lexicon (Little Gidding Press, 2025) and Rewilding, and he is currently working on a third collection, Plains of Moab.
