Rebekah McCormick serves as Adjunct Professor of Voice. She has an extensive background as a performer in professional musical theater, opera, concert, and sacred music settings. She is a coloratura soprano but is also well-versed in contemporary and musical theater styles. She received her undergraduate degree in Voice and Business from the University of Alabama. After taking time away from her performing career to raise her two children, Rebekah returned to singing professionally and earned a Master of Voice Pedagogy (Classical Track) with distinction from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in 2023. She studies with Metropolitan Opera soprano, Danielle Talamantes, and is an active performer in the Northern Virginia area. Rebekah is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and frequently attends workshops and symposiums related to vocal training and research. Rebekah also serves as PHC’s Music Coordinator, managing the Music Department office and music library, acting as a liaison for music students and faculty members, and recruiting for all things musical on campus. Rebekah and her husband, Dr. Scott McCormick, are blessed to work together at PHC and often collaborate on concert programs.
