As Director of Student Recruitment, Stephen Pierce oversees and directs recruitment strategies for the Admissions team. Stephen graduated from Patrick Henry College with a degree in Classical Liberal Arts and joined the Admissions team shortly after graduating. After years as an Admissions Counselor and Senior Admissions Counselor, he felt called by the Lord to grow the college with the right mission-fit students. Stephen brings first-hand knowledge of PHC, having experience at PHC as a Campus Safety officer, Resident Assistant, Chapel Guild leader, and Teen Leadership Camps Counselor. These opportunities have given Stephen a deep institutional knowledge and an intense love for the college.
Stephen has been a pianist, composer, and church musician for over half his life. He also loves carpentry, woodworking, and spending time outdoors in God’s beautiful Creation, particularly in the mountains. Stephen is married to his wonderful and amazing wife Megan and they have four children: Janie, Ray, Gracie, and Sam.
Student Recruitment ManagerKati Marr is the Student Recruitment Manager and is the counselor for Virginia, North Carolina, and international prospective students. When she was a sophomore at Patrick Henry College, Kati began her journey with the Office of Admissions as an Assistant Admissions Counselor in 2019. She transferred to work for Campus Visits during her senior year. After graduating in 2022 with a B.A. in Journalism, Kati worked at Focus on the Family in their Audio department for two years, developing and producing new podcasts. God called her back to Northern Virginia to serve at Patrick Henry College in 2024. In her off time, Kati loves to spend time with her family, explore local historical sights, take her dogs to the park, and find new restaurants or coffee shops to enjoy with friends.
Jennifer Wright began her career as a fifth grade teacher and upon the birth of her first child decided to focus her education experience towards her own children. For the next twenty years she home schooled her two girls until recently graduating her youngest and successfully propelling both of them into their own thriving university student careers. She joined PHC as the Admissions Administrative Assistant in 2019 and is excited to work with families in her role as Financial Aid Officer. She has the helpful perspective of being on the other side of the admissions process. She feels blessed to have this opportunity to use her experience, talents, and passions to encourage students to join the PHC family if that is where God is leading them to be. In this role, as with every role in her life, her earnest desire is to reflect the amazing love that God has poured into her heart to everyone she meets (Romans 5:5).
Jenn holds a B.S in Elementary Education. She loves reading, gardening, photography, anything involving the beauty of God's creation, and especially spending time with her family. Jenn and her husband Christopher have been married for over 30 years and have two beautiful girls Lillianna and Caroline. They have lived in the northern Virginia area for over 30 years and specifically in Clarke County for the last 20.
Josh Falconer is the Data Analyst for the Admissions crew and loves every minute of it. He is passionate about finding beauty and order in God’s good creation. Josh graduated from Patrick Henry College with a B.A. in Classical Liberal Arts. He was blessed to sing in Chorale throughout his four years of college, where he served for two years as the section leader of the Baritones and his final year as Librarian on the Chorale Council. When he’s not exploring a National Park or throwing a frisbee with his friends, you will probably find him reading books with his beautiful wife (his favorite is Watership Down by Richard Adams). He has been happily married to Hannah since August of 2026.
Campus Visits CoordinatorChris Ziemnick is the Campus Visits Coordinator for Patrick Henry College and leads the team of Campus Visits Assistants to host all our personal visits, Open House events, and Orientations. Chris has a deep desire to serve families and show them the love of Christ at every moment possible. (Romans 12:9-13) Chris graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. He particularly enjoyed his studies in Strategic Intelligence and Theology. Chris was point guard for the Men’s Basketball team and goalie for the Men’s Soccer team. He competed in any sport possible on campus and loved his time in the Club Baseball team and Faith & Reason Volleyball tournaments.
Hannah Falconer graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2025 with a B.A. in Journalism, and she serves as the admissions counselor for the southern region of the United States! She grew up in a home school family, played violin since age 7, and lived in five different states including Georgia, Kentucky, and Iowa. Attending PHC Teen Leadership Camps motivated Hannah to apply to PHC, and she treasured the four years she spent as a student. God used the PHC community to stretch her in all areas of life, and the journalism program especially cultivated her love for writing, storytelling, and people! As an admissions counselor, she enjoys helping families through the college journey and connecting with prospective students who fit PHC’s mission. She met her amazing husband Josh at PHC and they've been happily married since August 2026.
Admissions CounselorJoy Johnson serves as the admissions counselor for the western region of the United States. She grew up on the West Coast in Southern California in a family of seven kids, and she was the third of her siblings to attend Patrick Henry College. Before coming to PHC, she was homeschooled through high school and spent six years competing in Stoa Speech and Debate. Her four years as a PHC student were filled with rich learning and special memories, not the least of which were singing in Chorale and playing the co-lead role in Eden Troupe's theater performance of The Hiding Place. She spent three years working in a number of departments at the college before landing in Admissions after graduating with a B.A. in History. She is incredibly passionate about seeing students’ lives changed by the Lord during their time here at Patrick Henry College. She is also an ardent lover of music, coffee, good community, and anything that requires a dash of beauty and creativity.
Morgan Appleton serves as the Senior Admissions Counselor for Patrick Henry College (PHC). She has a deep love for people, a desire to know each and every one of her students, and a heart to see young adults grow in their love for Jesus Christ. Prior to beginning her role at PHC, she served as a Resident Director for Erskine College, mentoring and developing students in leadership and communication skills. Additionally, she served as a coach to the debate and quiz bowl teams and an adjunct instructor. She holds a B.A. From Moody Bible Institute in Intercultural Studies Interdisciplinary in Arab Studies and a M.A. from Erskine Theological Seminary in Practical Ministry. Morgan married PHC alumnus Ben Appleton in July 2025!
