Thinking About Transfering to PHC?

As a potential transfer student, we’re excited that you’re interested in Patrick Henry College. Whether you are considering a complete change in academic direction or are preparing to enter a four-year program for the first time after studying at a community college, we hope we’ll have the chance to tell you more about the opportunities available to you at PHC. We appreciate the rich experiences that transfer students often bring to the student body and enthusiastically welcome a growing number of transfer students to each year’s class.

Admission requirements are the same for all applicants, and you should follow the same admissions process and requirements as all degree-seeking students. You are fully eligible for College merit-based and need-based financial aid and will not be at a disadvantage in the financial aid process.

Patrick Henry’s Classical Christian Core Curriculum consisting of 63 credits plus foreign language is more extensive than the programs at many other colleges and each course reflects our commitment to academically excellent Christian education flowing from the classical liberal arts model. In order to preserve the integrity of PHC’s academic program and to ensure transfer students are well prepared for upper-level classes,  we'll carefully evaluate all credit earned at other institutions once you've been admitted, in accordance with the transfer of credit policy (available below).

We would love to welcome you on campus for a visit as you consider joining the Patrick Henry student body. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have questions about transferring to PHC!
