Final score: PHC 77; Washington Bible College 71
A nearly full homecourt crowd watched and cheered as the men's Sentinel basketball team won it's first-ever home court game at the new Barbara Hodel Center Friday, November 6.
"Our team greatly exceeded my expections," said PHC men's coach Bruce Campbell. "The competition was very athletic, but our guys made a lot of good decisions. The pace of the game was exciting and the number of turnovers by both teams was very low."
Just as impressive was the home court energy and atmosphere, Campbell said, recalling how in years past the College team has never had a true home court, playing all of its games off campus and at other schools' gymnasiums.
"The whole event went extremely well," he noted. "The crowd was very vocal and engaged; the music, national anthem and half-time went great as well. I think everyone was surprised at the energy and level of competition. It was as if the crowd and the players had a great memory about where we've come from."
