Inner-City Teacher

While an undergrad at PHC, Michelle Wright spent six months serving the world's poorest in India. Today Wright (Government, 2011) teaches seventh and eighth grade math to public school students in Nashville’s inner-city, yet another intensely demanding adventure on humanity’s fringes that has, at times, been as frightful as it has been fruitful. Alumni Profile

Arriving on the PHC campus in fall 2008, Alex and Brett Harris had just published a best-selling book, Do Hard Things, and had wrapped up the first stages of a series of Rebelution conferences, inspiring a “teenage rebellion against low expectations.” Yet now, newly graduated, they are happiest with their friendships and time spent as regular students.
