The PHC Alumni Association Matching Campaign Fundraiser ended with 117 unique contributions, and we raised over $27,000 pre-match!
To say that this was the most successful fundraiser in Alumni history is quite the understatement. The 117 unique contributions this year included a total of 145 Alumni when considering the 27 married Alumni couples that gave. This incredible number represents over 18% of the entire Alumni Population!!
In 2014 and 2015, unique contributions to the fundraiser equaled 30 and 28 respectively. The 117 unique contributions from this year's fundraiser equals a 300% increase over the past two years!
In 2014 and 2015, Alumni gave $8,500 and $12,500 respectively to the fundraiser. This year's contribution total of just over $27,000 is equal to a 30% increase over the last two year's combined!
With George Clay's generous contribution, Alumni alone raised over $108,000 for the College. Consider this number in comparison to the previous two fundraiser's we held. In 2014, the Alumni Fundraiser raised just over $25,500 from Alumni post-match, and the 2015 Fundraiser raised just over $37,500 from Alumni post-match (the total success of those fundraisers were much higher though when adding the donations from Alumni parents who gave...Also, the $108,000 that we raised this year does not include the total amount given by Alumni parents during this fundraiser that George Clay has generously agreed to match 2:1).
I want to thank a couple of people for the incredible success of this fundraiser. First, George Clay should be thanked by us all. He was the reason behind us starting this fundraiser, and his generous contributions and support truly show his care and commitment to Patrick Henry College and its Alumni (shoot him a thank you note if you get the chance!). I also want to thank Paul Devamithran and Ryan Gilles. Their hard work in the PHC Development office pushed the success of this fundraiser. Finally, I want to thank all of the Alumni who gave. I am so proud of the Association, and we have just shown what we can accomplish when we are all pulling in the same direction.
