The Sentinels traveled to Pennsylvania to take on Williamson College of the Trades. The stat sheet showed a pretty even game, except in field goal percentage, which proved to be the difference maker as PHC fell short 51-66.

Williamson managed to keep a relatively comfortable lead in the first half. They were able to pound the ball inside and score at a high rate, meanwhile, PHC missed several layups and failed to capitalize on turnovers. Halftime ended 23-33.

The Sentinels were able to come out hot from the break closing the lead 30-36. For a brief few minutes, PHC showed the quality basketball they are capable of and played more like they anticipated for the season. However, that moment soon faded as they began to take low-percentage shots and struggled to handle the ball. The leading scorer for both teams was big man Andrew Penrod with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

A very winnable game slipped from the Sentinel’s grasp. Frustrations are evident as a 2-6 record at the halfway point in the season is not what the team expected. At this point, losses just add fuel to the fire and provide valuable lessons to a young PHC squad beaming with potential. The men will look to turn things around in their next game against Central Penn on Wednesday.
