Sentinels show heart, grit, and fight in 1-0 loss

The PHC men’s season got off to a tough start Friday night as they lost a hard-fought battle against Crown College 1-0. The game was physical from the starting whistle and both teams gave their all. However, Crown’s #7 goal in the 68th minute was the decider in what was a thriller. Even with the loss, this game has shown the immense improvement of the squad under Coach Ben Thompson’s first season. The Sentinels controlled the ball well and had a few quality chances from Rob Canfield and Aiden Hartman. Unfortunately, all it took was one goal to hand the Sentinels an opening-day loss. These two teams will meet again on Homecoming on October 5th.

The boys will look to rebound on Saturday when they battle Appalachian Bible College at 11 am. The game will be live-streamed on ABC’s YouTube page.
