Hello! I’m a PHC alum (Journalism, ‘17), and a northern Virginia native. I grew up not far from the College with my three younger brothers and was homeschooled K-12. I’m a drama nerd, and while at PHC, I was heavily involved in Eden Troupe (PHC’s theater group), doing anything I could, from acting to props. That led to my first experience with Teen Camps, when I assisted with the Drama Track in 2016. I’d always wanted to go to camps in high school, and I finally got that chance when I served as a counselor in summer 2017 after graduation.
I love trying new things, and my work experience has been pretty varied, from directing high school plays to working as a field hand on a vegetable farm. Currently, I teach piano and drama and accompany the College’s chorale, when I’m not busy with camps. I love anything to do with stories, which is one of my favorite parts of Teen Camps—from the crazy characters counselors play for skits to hearing individual campers’ stories and seeing how they fit into the story of the continuing work of the Gospel.
In my free time, you’ll find me reading, playing music, sitting by a fire, and probably sipping coffee. I can’t wait to meet you all and see what God has in store for us this summer!
