Hi everyone! I can’t believe it’s almost time for another summer of Camps! This is my third consecutive summer as a part of the PHC Teen Leadership Camps staff, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. I’ve been told I have to share a little bit about myself, so here are a few factoids you may find informative or entertaining: Unlike the rest of the counselor staff, I’ve actually been done with college for a little over a year now. I graduated in 2018 and have been working for PHC as an assistant coach to the Moot Court and Mock Trial programs since the end of PHC Teen Leadership Camps last summer. Travelling with our teams keeps me pretty busy, but when I have free time you can usually find me hiking one of Virginia’s hills (after living in Colorado, I can’t in good conscience call them mountains), driving down back country roads with all the windows rolled down, or far too enthusiastically cleaning my house. My friends tell me that some of my oddest characteristics are my obsession with cheese, my use of duct tape to “fix” problems that probably can’t be fixed with duct tape, and my hair, which often leads me to mistake my reflection for a lion. I thought my first year as a PHC Teen Leadership Camps counselor would be my last. Then I came back the following summer as Head Counselor, and thought it would have to be my last. Now I’m back for year three as the Camp Director, so I think it’s safe to say I love doing this. PHC Teen Leadership Camps have consistently been the best part of my summer for the past two years, because of all of you. I’m excited to meet you and see what the Lord has in store for us this go around!
