Strategic Intelligence: Level 2

July 2 - July 8 ($575)

Cost - $575. Registration closes June 28.

Note: This camp is open only to students who have completed SI: Level 1 camp.

SI: Level 2 returns for 2017 as the world class summer experience blending action, academics and adventure into an intense week-long camp designed to prepare you for a career in the intelligence world.

This camp allows you to further explore the themes and ideas laid out in SI: Level 1. It is designed specifically for students that are seriously considering a career in intelligence or anticipate future interaction with the intelligence community. The foundation established in SI: Level 1 is essential for success in SI: Level 2.

While lectures and exercises will still be an important part of this week, undercover identities and missions are not; you will operate under your own identity, and exercises will primarily be intellectually driven and classroom-based. This week is much more hands on and exploratory, as you will be gathering intelligence from open source materials, analyzing the information, then presenting your findings to a panel of decision makers. You will be instructed and supervised by current SI students, SI alumni, and other intelligence professionals during all steps of this process in order to facilitate learning and skill development. This side by side working environment will allow you to interact closely with professionals who already know their field and would love to answer questions and assist you in any way they can in choosing your future path.

Instructor Bio

Samantha Watkins is a graduate of PHC's Strategic Intelligence track ('15) and proud Kentuckian who has vowed to keep her southern roots intact no matter where she goes. During her time at PHC, she enjoyed working on several projects including leading the FBI Counterintelligence Journal, teaching and mentoring new freshmen in PHC's Introduction to Intelligence project, and playing the US President during crisis simulations.

Sam interned at the Bureau of Diplomatic Security in the State Department and hopes to go back someday as a full time employee overseas. She has been involved with SI camp for 4 years and continues towards her goal of making each year better than the last. During her limited free time, she spends entirely too much time cuddling with her beloved cats and she loves nothing more than dancing, fiction writing, and making messes in the kitchen and calling it cooking.
