The Sozo Journalism Scholarship

The Story

The Sozo Journalism Scholarship at Patrick Henry College has been established to provide, in perpetuity, financial assistance to students committed to following career paths in Journalism, and especially students considering entrepreneurial endeavors within that field.

The Greek word Σoζo (sozo) means to rescue from danger, keep safe and sound, or provide safe passage. The scholarship founders recognize that our free society is not safe or sustainable with the current sate of journalism in America — viewpoint censorship, biased news reporting, and agenda driven propaganda. It is imperative that high-performing conservative Christians enter the field of journalism to disseminate fair and accurate information, shining the light of truth throughout the media.
