About Our Campus

Patrick Henry College is located in the heart of Loudoun County, an area steeped in history and filled with spectacular vistas, scenic byways and charming towns and villages. Conveniently located 50 miles from our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., and 65 miles from historic Gettysburg to the north, we invite you to explore the rich heritage of Northern Virginia during a visit to Patrick Henry College.

Residence Life at Patrick Henry College

Patrick Henry College is primarily a residential college, although some students choose to live off-campus in nearby Purcellville.  Our attractive, colonial-style residence halls provide a quality living experience for both men and women. Three dorms house women only, and two dorms serve the men. For safety, outer doors are locked, and can be opened by electronic keycards. For community, men and women often gather in each others' lounges to study, give birthday parties, or watch movies.

Altogether, residential life and the network of programs and services provided by the Office of Student Life serve as the center of the Patrick Henry College experience.

Rooms in our residence halls accommodate 2-4 students and are equipped with beds, an individual study desk, closet space, a chest of drawers and bookshelves. Each residence hall has laundry rooms with card-operated washing machines and dryers.

There are currently two Resident Directors: one male and one female. Resident Assistants are provided for each wing in each dorm.

The residence life staff is available to help students through the important adjustments related to on-campus living.
