Christine Olmstead

In this interview with PHC journalism professor Dr. Les Sillars, Christine explains a bit about how her education at PHC helps her understand a little better what she does, and where she found the inspiration for one of her works titled “North Gold.”

Christine Olmstead (Journalism ’15) did debate all through high school and thought she might end up as a lawyer or in broadcast journalism. But art was her first love, and when she got to PHC what she learned helped her to “take a deep, deep dive” and consider how best to live life. She realized that the Lord was calling her to follow up on the intensive training in art she had received growing up.

Now she does mostly abstract art, and her work is available through dozens of different retailers, such as Home Goods, and she completes commissions for a variety of clients. You can view her work at her website.
