# Government Minor

## Program Structure

The Government minor will equip students with the basic knowledge of the operations, scope, variety, and theoretical underpinnings of government. Required courses in American Political Institutions and International Relations provide students with exposure to both domestic and international politics and policy. With a wide range of electivity, students may tailor their remaining coursework to best correspond to their interests and vocational gifts.

 

### Learning Objectives for the Government Minor

1.  Apply a biblical worldview to the study and practice of government.

2.  Understand the various institutions, behaviors, and functions of American government.

3.  Understand the theory and practice of international relations.

### Minor Electives (Choose 12 credits)

GOV/APP/IPP/POL electives, excluding 470 and 490

Internship (up to 3 credits)

Moot Court/Mock Trial/Forensics Activities (up to 3 credits)
