Kayla - Counselor
Kayla is a junior American Politics and Policy major at PHC. She has participated in moot court since her freshman year and competed at the national level all three years, securing third place at the last two tournaments. She is a board member on the Titan Society and College Republicans. She serves as an RA, and as secretary of external affairs to the Student Body President. She has spent the spring semester interning in DC at the Heritage Foundation. When she graduates in May of 2014, she plans on continuing to law school and going into constitutional law.
According to her family history, Kayla is a French princess. She grew up in Tennessee, however, and is most definitely a Southerner. If she gets very excited or upset, her accent comes out. She loves baking, running, coffee dates, and chocolate. Her ideal day is sitting by an open window on a rainy day with a cup of tea and a book. Her favorite books to read are biographies and stories of people who have changed the world. One of her heroes is William Wilberforce, since she believes the battles he fought are similar to the ones her generation is fighting.
This is Kayla’s first year as a PHC teen camp counselor. She is looking forward to seeing what the summer holds!
