Laura Fennig - Head Counselor

Laura graduates from Patrick Henry College in May. During her four years at PHC, she has been a chapel guild leader, chairman of the homecoming committee, head RA of one of the girl’s ...dorms, and was casted as the lead in Eden Troupe’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as participating in Model UN, where her team won the highest award of Outstanding Delegation, and in Mock Trial, where she qualified to the opening round of nationals. In fall of 2012, Laura interned in Washington, D.C. with the Koch Foundation and as a special events intern with the Heritage Foundation.

Despite Laura’s long list of accomplishments, she lives by the proverb “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” During her time at PHC, she has enjoyed exploring surrounding towns, running barefoot in the rain, and eating copious amounts of sushi and pancakes (but not at the same time). She is involved in a passionate love-affair with music and enjoys jamming with friends. She loves acquiring new skills and hobbies, the latest of which is rock climbing.

Laura has been a teen camps counselor for the past two summers and is excited to come back as female head counselor during the summer of 2013.
