Biology Class Partners with Harper's Ferry National Historical Park
Patrick Henry College's Biology department joined with Harper's Ferry this fall to help research the condition of the Shenandoah and Potomac's water supply. Dr. Neil Doran, PHC's biology professor, and the Bio lab students are taking and testing samples from the Harper's Ferry watershed to track either the progress or denigration of its water supply. ...more

Generation Joshua's iGovern teen camp ran last week at Patrick Henry College, complete with 137 campers, mock political campaigns and worship services. The camp was birthed out of the desire of Joel Grewe, Deputy Director of GenJ, to create Christian leaders who are quick and adept at what they do. Ryan Gilles: Telling Stories of God's People Around the World
While attending PHC, Gilles majored in journalism, played on the soccer team, participated in mock trial, and led worship at chapel. But his real passion was found in ministry and missions. After graduating from PHC in December of 2011, he signed on with ITeams for a full-time missions trip over a 15-month period, during which he would be traveling to 10 different countries. ...more

Aaron Olmstead graduated from Patrick Henry College in 2008 with a degree in journalism. Four years and a National Geographic internship later, you won't find him working in an office. Instead, he's operating Estate Lawn Services, a landscaping business he started in 2005 with his brother. A Call to Pens Encourages Young Writers
After months of brainstorming, scribbling, erasing, and re-scribbling, middle and high school students from around the country have answered the call -- A Call to Pens. Over 200 entries for Patrick Henry College's fourth annual short story writing competition were turned in by Wednesday's deadline, and more will be trickling in by mail over the next week before judging can begin. Alumnus Novelizes Come What May; Screening Jan. 21
PHC alum Peter Forbes recently self-published his first book, the novelization of Christian independent film Come What May. As with the movie, the book tells the story of "a college student who must choose whether or not he will stand for his convictions, even if this means sacrificing his own desires."
