Famed Apologist, PHC's Dr. Montgomery, Wins Dublin Debate
The Literary & Historical Society at University College Dublin invited Dr. John Warwick Montgomery, Distinguished Research Professor of Philosophy and Christian Thought at Patrick Henry College, to a formal debate in October, 2008. The motion under question was 'That this house finds it irrational to believe in God.' Their nephew, Mortimer Brewster, must deal with their murderous habits and the hijinks of his other insane relatives while trying to decide whether to marry the girl he loves. Foreign Language Immersion Adventures
About twenty Patrick Henry College students dispersed across the globe this summer to master a foreign language as part of their academic requirements at PHC. Students majoring in Government or Journalism often choose to immerse themselves in a foreign country or full-time language program in order to fulfill their needed twelve credits of a modern language. Premiere of "Come What May"
After successful, sold-out preview screenings in Harrisonburg, Va., and Grants Pass, Ore., the Purcellville-filmed and produced movie, Come What May, is coming to the Franklin Park Performing and Visual Arts Center, September 6, for its "world premiere."
