Patrick Henry College's Parliamentary Debate program is one its most rewarding activities. Students have competed in tournaments from California to Pennsylvania and have gained national attention by defeating traditional debate powers such as Cedarville and Notre Dame. Currently ranked #37 out of 280 schools, PHC's parli debaters maintain a high level of knowledge in many areas of study, since debate topics range from Greek philosophy to the effects of the Federal Reserve. |

Patrick Henry College's newest debate team participates in the National Forensic Assocation, an individual policy, Lincoln-Douglas-style debate league comprised of over 100 colleges and universities. Although young, PHC's NFA squad has already established a firm presence, "breaking" and claiming top-ten speaker awards and team rankings at every tournament. PHC is excited to continue supporting the success of its students in this new arena.

Moot Court is an academic exercise originally modeled after the process used by attorneys to prepare for the intensity of the courtroom before significant cases. Coached by Dr. Mike Farris, Patrick Henry College's team has long enjoyed elite status among undergraduate universities and colleges.
