Counseling
Patrick Henry College is devoted to the well-being of its students in all areas of their lives.
Counseling:
The Office of Student Life maintains a collection of counseling resources comprised of campus personnel as well as excellent referral sources. In the past PHC has engaged a graduate counseling intern who aided in spiritual and emotional difficulties and offered professional and occupational assistance.
Peer counselors are a group of students who volunteer their time and resources to be available for other students. The peer counseling team was put together in August of 2007, and has since been available to students who struggle in any area—academics, health issues, relationships, depression, and so on. Most of the peer counselors have gone through similar struggles in their own lives, and have a unique ability to understand where students are coming from and to provide encouragement and advice.
