For the first time Patrick Henry College’s summer camp offerings will include a music camp for students who are developing their musical gifts as singers and/or instrumentalists.  For the summer of 2011, PHC is inviting all students who wish to sing in a mixed-voice choir (sopranos, altos, tenors, & basses) or play in our orchestra (with emphasis on strings, but open to a limited number of woodwinds) to come to our campus for a week of spectacular music making.  All interested participants must fill out a music camp application, in addition to the PHC summer camp application, and include a letter of recommendation from your music mentor, including your applied lessons teacher, and/or your current ensemble director (high school choir or orchestra director, church choir or orchestra director, etc.).  This will verify your current service as a musician and relative proficiency in your area of study.

Our ensembles will rehearse throughout the week in preparation for a combined performance at the end of our time together.  This will be a week of music-making that you will not want to miss!
