Professor Carter teaches Web-based Journalism and Design at PHC. An experienced journalist, he is the web editor for First Things magazine, a writer-in-residence at Biola University’s Torrey Honors institute, and a contributing editor to Houston Baptist University’s magazine, The City. A fifteen-year Marine Corps veteran, Professor Carter previously served as the managing editor for The East Texas Tribune and the online magazine Culture11. He has also served as the Director of Research and Rapid Response for the Mike Huckabee presidential campaign and as a director of communications for both the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity and the Family Research Council.
Professor Carter is the co-author of How to Argue like Jesus: Learning Persuasion from History's Greatest Communicator. He lives in Manassas, VA with his wife Misty and their daughter Samantha.
