Drama Camp Description
Drama Camp is run by April Wright, a 2006 PHC alumna with an extensive theatrical background who also served as last year's Drama Camp director. Aspiring actors and actresses will receive hands-on experience in acting and stagecraft by participating in the production of a full-length play in one week. In between rehearsals, campers will sharpen their dramatic skills with various theatrical exercises and coaching sessions. Lectures delivered by the camp director and various guest speakers will cover topics such as characterization, improv, play production, and stage fighting as well as a discussion on the moral questions encountered in the world of theater. The final performance will be open to family and friends.
